Screenwriting Contest winner Tripper Clancy found management with a Script Pipeline partner in 2010, and over the course of a decade, he sold a handful of specs and pitches, was hired to write multiple studio projects, and his action-comedy Stuber, starring Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani, sold to Fox for the mid-six figures. His contest-winning script Killing Season was produced and starred Robert De Niro. He later wrote Divergent and Ninja Turtles, amongst other features for studios. In a moment that turned a new spotlight on specs from unproduced writers, Screenwriting Contest winner Evan Daugherty sold Snow White and the Huntsman to Universal for $3 million, one of the biggest spec sales of all time.
